THE CHALLENGE OF CONTROLLING YOUR ANGER.
One man caught his wife in adultery. He got hold of his cutlass and matcheted the wife to death and killed also the son of the woman which she had in a previous marriage. When he realized what he had done, he used the fuel that he bought for the generator to set himself ablaze. He did not survive it.
You have to learn how to control your anger in marriage because there is no how that your spouse would not offend you. If you can’t control your anger in marriage, you are bound to do some things which you will regret later. God’s counsel in Ephesians 4:26 is highly relevant here:
‘Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:’
There is no way that you won’t be angry but make sure that in your anger you do not sin either to God or to man. As much as you can, don’t let your anger linger overnight.
