PARENTING.
Abusive husbands didn’t fall from the sky, someone raised a boy wrongly.
Your three year old son gets angry whenever you give him food he doesn’t want and throws it on you, you laugh and say children en.
Your small boy lifts his little hands and slap you when he wants you to drop him, all you would say is “you are slapping mummy”
No other child in that area messes with him and you are calling him “A no nonsense boy”
He picks up things from the ground and hits people whenever he is stopped from doing something, you smile and call him “action boy”
You expose him to all manners of violence any say “He is a man, he is supposed to be strong” Few years down the line the teenage boy bullies his sisters and commands them around like a military man, shares slaps as souvenirs to anyone who cares to challenge him, you call him “man of the house”
He grows up having his ways all through. Now he is a full grown man, and it isn’t funny anymore.
Abusive husbands didn’t fall from the sky, SOMEONE RAISED A BOY WRONGLY.
The above image and writeup was culled from one of my whattsApp platforms to illustrate the fact that bad parenting is one of the major factors of dysfunctional homes.
When you raise your boy in a way that he always have his way no matter what, because you ‘love’ him, he is not likely to be a good husband. He will likely be an abusive husband because he would insist on having his way always with his wife, and failure to have his way would result in verbal and physical abuse.
When a girl is raised, never experiencing ‘no’ as an answer, she will also never expect no as an answer in her marital relationship, likely resulting in conflicts.
As parents, we must learn to raise our children always remembering that the young boy or girl would be someone’s spouse in the future.
