John 1:1-5
‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made…’
The prime position of our Lord savior Jesus Christ is revealed in our reference scripture for today:
- He is the Word.
- He was there with God in the beginning.
- All things were made by Him.
- In Him was life.
- His light was the light of men.
- He is the light that shines in the darkness which can not be comprehended by darkness.
In later verses in the same chapter, we are told that: - He empowers people that receives Him to become children of God. (V.12)
- He was the Word made flesh with glory full of grace and truth. (14)
Friends, Jesus Christ is so important to you that your position in life and eternity is dependent on Him. Your position in life is determined by relationship with Him because when you receive Him, He becomes the LORD of your life. Your eternity is determined by Him because if you don’t have a relationship with him, you can’t see the kingdom of God and you can’t live a life that will make you fit for heaven.
The challenge for you today is, what is your relationship with Him? Have you given your life to him and walking with Him? Have taken your life back from Him after initially giving your life to Him? Or You are yet to give your life to him. In either of the three cases, you need to take a decision. I am sure you know the decision to take.
For you to know how important He is to you in life and eternity, hear this;
Philippians 2:9-10
‘Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
May you not get it wrong in your relationship with Him in Jesus name.
FAMILY FOCUS.
Jesus should take the centre of everything in the life of your family. Is that the way it is?
